Craft seems to have taken some sort of importance here 🙂 Its been a while since I did some cards and used dies to highlight the card. I got some Memory Box dies and I put them to good use here.
Linking to Less is More Week 104 – Sketch and using the colors at ColorQ #174
Love this sketch! So versatile but the only catch at LIM is that they requested the band stay at the bottom third of the card.
Used the lovely Tessatina border die and cut it with three different pink shades and filled up the shapes with the different colors. Matted it on a chocolate brown cardstock and sentiment from PTI Damask Designs.
Simple but striking! Left the panel overhang on the sides….will take a decision to cut to size later 🙂
Thank you for stopping by! 🙂
Howdy do y’all?!?! 🙂
And this is a craft post after quite a while I think! And time it is as the holiday season is round the corner and time to get some cards in place! 🙂
Playing along with some challenges – CAS-ual Fridays #79 – Winter Blues (winter themed project showcasing blue), Clean and Simple Stamping #217
And the card I made for this challenge –
Used the dark blue strip of handmade paper with some lovely metal notches on it and paired it with snowflake pp from a pack that I bought three years ago (yes! I still have it!) called Santa’s on his way from Hallmark and a die cut with the PTI stars die. Sentiment from PTI’s Communique Curves and the postmark from PTI’s 2010 Holiday Tags. Like the way it turned out! 🙂
The next challenge I am linking to is for Crafter’s Corner #2 – dies/punches + stamping
And the cards I made, staying true to my CAS style –
A simple Christmas card using the circle dies, the bow and poinsettia dies and stamps. A light background with Hero Arts music bg stamp. Sentiment from PTI Stylish Holiday sentiments.
This is a simple card that can be mass produced! Used PTI triangle dies and an edger (not sure which number), bell image and sentiment from PTI Bells and Boughs set.
Whew! Sorry about the multi-challenge-link post. Crazy to be doing individual posts at this time when time is precious! My apologies for offending anyone with that! Well….it is MY time eventually! 😛
Thanks for peeking in and here’s wishing you a great start to the holiday season – crafting or baking! 🙂
And many thanks to all my new followers! Hope the bakers are not upset with my crafty post and vice versa! 😀
Just noticed that it has been two weeks since I posted here last! But I did have term tests and exams to deal with during this time and so took a break. I did do some crafting and baking but did not have the time to take pictures and post it. My bakes first of all just disappeared before I could get my camera and my crafting was at an easy and gentle pace 🙂 I have since made four cakes on order for friends and their kids (all chocolate – but of course!) but did not take any pictures before I gave them 😦 Silly me but then there is always a next time! 🙂
Today, I wanted to share with you an album made on order, with family portrait pictures. Since Paperz! had already made a few albums for this client, we decided to do it a bit different and have quilling as the main way of embellishing it. Have a look! 🙂
This was the cover page and I added a whole bunch of quilled flowers and some dies from Memory Box and Marianne with some leaf punches. Priya Venkat kindly added the letters for me 🙂 Used papers from K & Company, a whole range of lines that my cousin very sweetly got for me – a pack of 3o0 sheets! 🙂 I know I know….Bless her!
Since all pages has pictures, not showing you most of them. Just a highlight view 🙂 Used a range of sentiment stamps too for this one – Ali Edwards, Unity, Darcie’s, stickers….you get the drift! 🙂
I thoroughly enjoyed making this album as it is very different to what Paperz! usually has made! Thank you Priya Venkat for your help! 🙂 And thanks to all of you who peek in and leave comments!
Have a great weekend!
