Hope you have had a nice start to your weekend! Looks like my household did….with the cookies I made! 🙂
Again looked to bakerella.com for the recipe and did it come out awesome! 🙂 She does have better pictures though….might do you good to pop over there for some serious drooling!
Here is what I baked today…
As usual when I make cookies, I double the quantity so got a fairly big batch with this recipe 🙂
You will need
1 1/2 cups – flour
1/2 cup – cocoa powder
1/2 tsp – salt
3/4 tsp – baking soda
Sift together and keep aside.
1/2 cup – soft butter
1 1/2 cups – castor sugar
Beat the butter till light and fluffy and then add the sugar.
1 tsp – vanilla
1/2 cup – peanut butter (can add the crunchy one if you like it. I used the smooth creamy peanut butter)
Add the eggs and beat well. Add the peanut butter and vanilla and beat well.
Add chocolate chips – can be dark or milk chips. Can add walnuts if desired at this point.
Mix well together. The dough will be a bit thick so please make sure you mix well and do not beat hard.
Grease your baking sheets and make small balls of the dough and place equidistant. These do not flatten out too much so can place relatively closer to get more on the baking sheet.
Bake at 350 F (180 C) for 10-12 minutes. If making small sized dough balls, then 10 minutes should do. Otherwise another 2-4 minutes extra. The cookies will be soft and not crispy 🙂
Best had when nice and warm…the cookie just melts in your mouth! 🙂 And that burst of chocolate! Yumm!
Can you see that gooey melted chocolate chip?? Slurp! 😀
