Hey! Its me again! Yikes – third post for the day! πŸ™‚ Seems like a lot of interesting stuff going on in blogland so am giving it all a go as much as I can squeeze in!

A couple of challenges that have recycling as the theme so here goes! Alert – picture heavy post! πŸ™‚

Jaya Christina is hosting the Crafty JC challenge #9 – recycle, and so is the guest blogger at Yvonne‘s blog who has challenged us to recycle. There have been some amazing upcycling over the last week and so gave it a shot myself! πŸ™‚

Seems like my project is a bit similar to Ujjwal’s where she made a box for her electrical stuff. I upcycled a shoe box to hold cards! πŸ™‚

The shoebox had an attached lid to it and so I cut it out.

Used a briefs packaging box (realized that the Jockey box is much better paper to work with than the Hanes box! LOL!!) and cut up into pieces to make the center divider. Guess you can add as many dividers as you will need in your box. Covered with some pretty paper, inside and out.

Tadaah! The box completed and dressed up! πŸ™‚ Is called Cards at a Glance!

Did some decorations with pencil shavings I had saved up over time and some quilling πŸ™‚ Seems eerily similar to Ujjwal’s (I keep saying that!) use of alphabet stickers from Echo Park. And a beautiful metal butterfly from Pie Lane!

Added some more pencil shavings with buttons on both the sides. And the final image of the box with the cards πŸ™‚ Guess you can use it for easy reach of the different categories of cards you make – birthday, friend, general, thank you….etc. I thought it would be easier for for someone to flip through this to pick a card.

Tried to get my kids to make something but maybe I will post it when they DO finish it! πŸ™‚ With exams and puja time coming, more excitement about that!

Thanks so much for stopping by! πŸ™‚ Appreciate it!
