Pastels!

Challenge time again! Am really enjoying this now! Sometimes working with a sketch from the word GO is way easier! I admit – willing to give all the credit to the person who comes up with the sketch in the first place! πŸ™‚

Two challenges –

Less is More Week 5 with Pastel Colors

Clean and Simple Stamping #130

Struggled a bit with this one. Seems very easy and simple but just could not get the elements in place. πŸ™‚ Hope you think it is good enough! Lemme know! πŸ™‚

Picture taken in the afternoon with the setting sun casting shadows on my card πŸ™‚

Materials

Local cardstock white, green, lavender, patternpaper from the series Beautiful Flowers (that is all it says!), local ribbon lavender and heart print, pearl accents and lavender bling! Could not find a button to match so decided to go pearl rather than flowers or any other option. πŸ™‚ Oh, and Fiskars Texture Plates. Cutout of PTI Mat Stack 4 with PTI Damask Designs sentiment. Hand drawn purple borders πŸ™‚

  1. Two very prettty cards.

  2. Hi Shobana
    your card is beautiful.
our criteria is for there to be plenty of ‘white’ space pr card base blank
Whilst it’s very crisp and simple, strictly speaking to meet our guidelines we do require there to be more blank space
Would LOVE you to recreate with maybe the SP or the green card missing. Or perhaps the green embossed in white?
Aww super card though Id love to receive one like that

  3. Sketches are great and I think they are easier to follow than colour challenges. I also find it difficult to combine challenges. I admire carfters who do but I am stumped when you give me more than two permutation/combinations. I like your card very much.

  4. Hi Shobana,
I must agree with Mandi, whereas this is a very pretty card, for our challenge it would be better without the flowery paper at the top part of the card, but then that wouldn’t fully fulfill the sketch of your other challenge. Maybe you need to select the challenges you combine with ours carefully so as not to deviate from either our criteria or those of the other challenges.
It’s great to see your beautiful work, however!
