Pastels Again!

Since my earlier submission was considered as not conforming to the Less is More rules, I am giving in my entry again for the Week 5 pastels challenge. Took me five layout rejections and over an hour before I could settle on this layout and find any satisfaction! 🙂 Hope I get it right this time atleast!

Less is More Week 5 Pastel Colors

Ok. This is what I came up with! Had very few pastelly (correct my spelling if I am wrong pls!) colors to play with so could not think of anything to go with the pink and red ones I had but flowers! 🙂

Materials

Local white cardstock, PTI Beyond Basic Borders, PTI Beautiful Blooms II (Thanks Priya Venkat!), Archival Rocket Red Gold (what else?!?) and Pearlescent Orchid inks, local green ink, Archival Coffee Bean ink for the sentiment from Ippity stamps, Quotes a’la Happy. And BLING!! 🙂 Touch of black for some of the flower centers.

    this is a pretty submission!
I think it could be easily adapted with less daisy chains and still look as beautiful…such a handy design to keep in your portfolio

  9. All your cards have been great for this week challenge of using pastel colours. A lot of people have had difficulty with this one including me!
I think i would have just stamped one line of daisies slightly off centre in your chosen colour. The sentiment is very true and glad you shared this:-)

Thanks for commenting on the cards i entered into the PDCC, you are very kind and it is much appreciated.

Digital crafting is something i have only just got interested in as i don’t believe in calling images which you just print out digital stamps. They are black and white vector images!!! If you are computer literate you will know how many different ways vector images can be used. I have an electronic die cutting machine and use vector images for cutting files and cutting files can be used as digital stamps…

CD crafting is very popular, try using MCS (My Craft Studio) cd’s which have a graphics programme already installed so you can manipulate the images on the cd. You can also import your own jpg images into the programme and make some very lovely items; the sky is the limit if you have a really good printer, a computer and some crafting cd’s.

My WordPress blog is about other types of craft i enjoy other than papercrafting. Reason the PDCC cards are on here is that you can make anything for their challenges where the LIM site just want cards or ATC.s

If you would like any more help just leave a message on my blog or email me and i’ll see what i can do… 🙂

  10. This is very nice – it’s true though – clean and simple really ISN’T as simple as it seems!
