Clean and Simple Stamping #129

Color Throwdown # 131

The challenges are to follow the color combo and that sketch as close as possible. Here is my take on it!

The sketch called for a ribbon but could not find one in my stash to coordinate and did not quite fit in the scheme of things I felt. So went with my fav BLING!! Thought it somehow makes it more subtle and sedate. What say? Feel something not quite right and not able to put a finger on it. Any thoughts on it?? 🙂

Materials

Local cardstock, patternpaper thanks to Priya Venkat so no idea! Just loved that doily type design and wanted to use it! Handcut the oval shape and used my new Ippity stamp (tks Ujjwal!), A Bit of Burlap with Versamark Dazzle (another absolute fav!). Sponged the edges with blue and used PTI Mega Mixed Messages for the sentiment. Of course — BLING!!

I think the bling bow works perfectly. Ribbon might have made it too heavy on the top. The new lot of papers at Ananda are brilliant, right. Hmmmmm…..I find nothing wrong with it though. Wonder what you mean. Its a beautiful card and you rocked the sketch.

  2. I love the bling bow and the burlap background looks beautiful!! Something wrong with it…hmm..I don’t think so..Every element works perfectly together.

  3. Very pretty! Bling is always good! Thanks for playing along with us this week at CTD!
